Hardcore Projects make me lack updates.

Tue Jan 20, 2009, 6:08 AM
I'm done with the advanced scripting. Been there, done that... It gets boring. So I'm moving on to the next step! Yeh, thats right! The "Basicly Impossible" step!

I'm currently working on several projects, but my main ones are Higher than Hope and War of the New Era. And, well... I'm going to do what others thought to be impossible.

Higher than Hope is a browser/text based fantasy mmorpg. On it's current state (alpha) it's turn based, because there isn't an non-plugin technology that supports a flawless realtime website.
Ofcourse for those who know thier way in advanced scripting and question the point I just made, I know there's something called Ajax. However, to have a realtime updating system with Ajax you'll need to loopcheck every 200~100ms if not less. With a script of around 200kb, that also requires an avarage database query's, thats a painfull memory usage.
So, I'll be making a new type of technology (non-plugin) that supports a realtime updating system, with minimal to basicly no memory usage.

The other project, War of the New Era is starting to get shape, yet still far from playable. It's a flash game, and is going to be 3D. No plugins, just from sketch with plain actionscript(2.0), without using tutorials (since as far as I know, there aren't any anyway).
And, not the sucky graphic kind. But actual cool looking, with light and shadow support.

Yeh, you can call me insane. However, I know I'm capable of creating this.

Love,
~Sayne

Well good luck with creating a 3D game in a 2D engine (Flash). How sarcastic that sounds, I do look forward to it!

Good luck :D
